Dimitri Payet has handed West Ham a massive boost ahead of the season by insisting he won’t leave the Hammers this summer.
An impressive debut campaign in England, coupled with a fine Euro 2016 for France, saw the 29-year-old linked with a big money move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
West Ham co-chairman David Gold claimed that the club would only entertain bids in excess of £50m as they look to retain the services of their prized asset.
Their nerves have been eased, however, after Payet admitted he wants to play for the east London outfit next term.
When quizzed on reports linking him with a move away from West Ham, Payet exclusively told SunSport: “I’ve heard about all the interest and I’m flattered.
“But I love West Ham. We had a fantastic season and I can’t wait to play in the Olympic Stadium.
“I’m 100 per cent staying at West Ham, I love the club. I can tell the Hammers fans that.”
In what was an excellent debut campaign, only Mesut Ozil (146) played more key passes than Payet (119) in Europe’s top five leagues last season.
