Alexis Sanchez insists he made the right decision to leave Barcelona for Arsenal in 2014.
Arsenal made Sanchez the second-most expensive player in their history when they paid Barcelona £35m in July 2014.
The Chile international has quickly established himself as one of the Premier League’s best players and he admits he has no regrets over his move despite the fact Barcelona have won five trophies since then compared to Arsenal’s solitary FA Cup triumph.
“I never regret my decisions,” Sanchez told The Sunday Mirror. “It wasn’t easy to leave Barcelona. I fulfilled by a dream when I moved there – to play in Spain and for the champions – but very few players stay in the same club all their life. TO leave is normal.
“I wanted a new project, a new experience. And with so many attacking players at Barca it was a good choice to go.
“I think it was a good choice to go to Arsenal, the best choice. It has been a positive move and I love it at Arsenal.”
Only Yacine Brahimi averages more dribbles per game (7) in the Champions League this season than Sanchez (6.4).
