Real Madrid are sweating on the fitness of midfield pair Toni Kroos and Luka Modric ahead their Champions League meeting with PSG.
The pair haven’t featured for Los Blancos since the first leg 3-1 win over PSG last month, but made a surprise return to training in the days prior to Tuesday’s game at the Parc des Princes and have been included in the travelling party.
Better news for Real Madrid, though, is that starting right-back Dani Carvajal is available for selection after serving a first leg ban and he’s expected to replace Nacho in the XI.
The hosts are, of course, without Neymar, who is ruled out for the rest of the season following ankle surgery after falling foul to the problem in PSG’s 3-0 win over Marseille, with Angel Di Maria set to deputise for the Ligue 1 outfit.
Kylian Mbappe has been passed fit for PSG and is set to start, but Alphonse Areola and Marquinhos are doubts and will be assessed ahead of kick off.
The only predicament for Unai Emery now is who starts alongside Adrien Rabiot and Marco Verratti in the middle of the park, with Thiago Motta, Lassana Diarra and Giovani Lo Celso all battling for a place in the XI.
