Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has ruled out a return for former striker Diego Costa.
The Spain international has endured a tough season so far after enjoying an excellent debut campaign for Chelsea following his arrival from Atletico.
Costa recently returned to the Blues starting XI after starting the previous two games on the bench, hinting at a possible exit from Stamford Bridge could be on the cards.
A move back to Atletico had been mooted, but Cerezo has to dismissed speculation that the 27-year-old is set to depart for the Calderon in January, despite Costa suggesting he would be open to a move back to Madrid.
"He (Costa) can slam the door shut again, it's mighty cold here," Cerezo said when quizzed on Costa rumours.
Costa has managed just three goals in 12 league appearances for Chelsea this term, contributing to a WhoScored rating of 6.69.
