Juventus to announce new Pjanic deal this week

Miralem Pjanic has agreed a new long-term deal with Juventus and the renewal will be announced this week, claims Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Bosnia international has three years remaining on his current deal but has been heavily linked with a move away from Juventus this summer.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have been credited with an interest in the central midfielder, while Manchester City were also linked after missing out on Jorginho.

However, Pjanic has now agreed terms on a bumper new deal with the Old Lady, extending his stay at the club until 2023.

Juventus to announce new Pjanic deal this week

Juventus have already sold Gonzalo Higuain in their bid to recoup some money from their colossal investment in Cristiano Ronaldo.

It was suggested Pjanic would also be allowed to leave but the Serie A champions will end speculation by announcing his new contract later this week.

Since August 2015, only Paulo Dybala (17) has scored more Serie A goals than Pjanic (13) from outside the area.
