Chelsea are eyeing a January move for on-loan Leeds defender Ben White next month, claims The Sun.
White has been a revelation for Leeds since joining on loan from Brighton in the summer and is now valued at £25m.
Liverpool have already been linked with a move for the 22-year-old but now Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is keen on the talented centre-back.
Chelsea are free to sign new players next month after their FIFA-imposed transfer ban was lifted at the start of the month.
It is believed Lampard will look to bring in as many as two new players in January and both could bolster his defence options.
As well as wanting a new left-back, Lampard wants to strengthen the heart of Chelsea’s defence even though Antonio Rudiger has returned to full fitness.
Fikayo Tomori has shown plenty of promise in his first season in the Chelsea first-team but doubts remain over Andreas Christensen and Kurt Zouma.
Leeds will be reluctant to lose White midway through the season, as he remains integral to their promotion push.
However, they could be powerless in preventing White from leaving if Chelsea table an offer that suits parent club Brighton.
White has completed more interceptions than any other player in the Championship this season (57).
