Juventus have started working on a deal to sign Barcelona midfielder Andreas Iniesta when his contract expires next summer, reports Tuttosport, via Football Espana.
Iniesta has entered the final 12 months of his existing contract and has already revealed he is considering his future at the Camp Nou for the first time in his career.
The Serie A giants failed to strengthen their midfield options during the summer and are also reportedly hopeful of securing the services of Liverpool midfielder Emre Can during the next two transfer windows.
Juventus have become market leaders in signing quality players on free transfers and now want to add Iniesta to a list that includes Patrice Evra and Dani Alves in recent years.
Since August 2011, only Lionel Messi (168) has made more accurate through balls than Iniesta (71) in La Liga.
