Watford have announced they have signed former Sunderland captain Younes Kaboul in a deal worth a reported £3m.
Kaboul, 30, has signed a three-year deal with the Hornets following 12 months at fellow Premier League side Sunderland.
“I’m very happy and delighted to be part of Watford Football Club, and I’m looking forward to the season,” Kaboul told Watford’s official website.
“Just form the outside, I can see it’s a family club, there are some good players here and I’m very confident.
“The club had a very good season last year, and we need to carry that on to be even better.”
Of players that have made at least 20 appearances in the Premier League since the start of last season only Ramiro Funes Mori (8.9) has averaged as many clearances per 90 minutes than Kaboul.
