Chelsea have no chance of signing Sandro, states Juventus boss

Chelsea have ‘no chance’ of signing Juventus left-back Alex Sandro this summer, according to head coach Max Allegri.

The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for the Brazilian defender for much of the summer and it was thought a deal could be struck before the close of the window.

However, the departures of Dani Alves and Leonardo Bonucci means Juventus are unwilling to cash in on another key defender this month.

On the back of Juventus’ 2-0 defeat to Tottenham at Wembley on Saturday, Allegri is quoted by ESPN as saying: "Alex Sandro is a Juventus player and he will stay one.”

And when asked on the chances of Sandro leaving Juventus this summer, Allegri responded: “No chance.”

The 26-year-old played a hugely influential role in defence for Juventus in their Serie A title win last season, with his WhoScored rating (7.63) enough to earn a place in the European team of the season.
