Manchester City outcast open to Manchester United switch
Manchester City outcast Joe Hart is open to joining Manchester United this summer if Real Madrid sign David de Gea, reports The Independent.
Hart, 30, has spent the season on loan at Serie A side Torino after dropping down the pecking order at City under Pep Guardiola at the start of the campaign.
With Torino unable to afford to make Hart’s stay permanent, Hart’s future beyond the end of the current campaign remains unclear with Guardiola not expected to call the England international back in from the cold.
However, Hart could make a stunning move this summer that would see the goalkeeper swap City for rivals United.
Jose Mourinho’s side are expected to sanction the sale of De Gea to Madrid this summer, two years after the Spaniard’s move to the reigning European champions collapsed.
It means United will be on the market for a new No.1 goalkeeper and reports have emerged suggesting they could move for Hart.
Only Josip Posavec (9) has committed more errors that have directly led to an opposition shot than Hart (7) in Serie A this season.
