Barcelona have announced Sergio Busquets will officially sign a new five-year deal on Thursday keeping him at the club until 2021.
Busquets, 28, only signed a five-year deal with the La Liga champions in May but has been rewarded with a new terms that includes an option to extend his stay by a further two years depending on how many matches he plays.
The Spain international is widely regarded as one of the best central midfielders in Europe and it will take any suitor to match his €200m (£171.7m) release clause.
In the last seven La Liga campaigns Busquets had completed more passes than any other player (13143).
