Napoli could move for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku if they sell Gonzalo Higuain this summer, suggest Italian publication TuttoMercatoWeb.
Higuain has enjoyed a fantastic season to date, netting 27 goals in 29 league appearances.
The Argentine's fine form has once again attracted interest from across the continent, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Bayern Munich all supposedly interested in the free-scoring frontman.
Napoli have performed admirably to ward off interest in the 28-year-old in the past, but could be forced into selling at the end of the season should they fail to secure domestic glory.
If that is the case, the Serie A side have identified Lukaku as Higuain's possible replacement, with the Belgian excelling for a disappointing Everton team this term.
Only English duo Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy (both 19) have scored more Premier League goals than Lukaku (18) this season and his performances have not gone unnoticed across Europe.
The Toffees would be understandably reluctant to sell their star striker, but a campaign without silverware could see Lukaku, 22, consider his future at Goodison Park.
