Bayern Munich want Liverpool star as well as Sane

Bayern Munich are plotting a double Premier League raid at the end of the season for Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino and Manchester City winger Leroy Sane, claims The Sun.

The Bundesliga giants have been heavily linked with a move for Sane for the last 12 months but have now added Firmino to their list of transfer targets.

Firmino has emerged as one of the best strikers in the world in the last few years and is finally getting the recognition he deserves with Liverpool top of the league.

The Brazil international is not the most prolific striker in Europe but he has a unique skill set that makes him to integral to the way Liverpool play.

Firmino signed a new long-term deal with Liverpool in April 2018 but Bayern are plotting a £75m move for the former Hoffenheim striker at the end of the season.

The 28-year-old spent four years at Hoffenheim before securing a £29m move to Liverpool in the summer of 2015.

Firmino scored 48 goals in 140 Bundesliga appearances during that time and has netted 56 times in 162 Premier League games for Liverpool.

Firmino has eight league goals for the campaign and bizarrely all of those have been scored away from Anfield.

Bayern are on the market for a long-term replacement for Lewandowski, who turns 32 at the start of next season.

RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern in the past but it appears more than likely he will move abroad than remain in Germany this summer.
