Lazio have announced they have sacked manager Stefano Pioli following their 4-1 defeat in the Rome derby on Sunday.
Pioli, 50, was given his marching orders after Lazio were hammered 4-1 at home to Roma to leave them 21 points adrift of their fiercest rivals.
It caps a remarkable turnaround for the Italian boss, who enjoyed led Lazio to an impressive third place in his first year at the helm last season.
However, the Biancocelesti have been in free fall this season and only won four of their last 15 matches in all competitions.
