Leicester and Newcastle are tracking giant Ajax defender Mitchell Dijks ahead of a summer move, according to The Daily Mirror.
The Magpies reportedly failed in their attempts to sign Dijks in January and could rekindle their interest in the Dutchman if they manage to beat the drop this season.
However, they could face competition for the £10m rated left-back from Leicester, who could be Premier League champions by then.
The 23-year-old has been an ever-present member of Frank de Boer’s first-team this season, with only two outfielders featuring in more minutes of league action for the Dutch giants than Dijks (2,076 minutes).
