Real Madrid are preparing a £90m raid of the Premier League for Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, claims The Sun.
The Spanish giants have endured a poor start to the season and want to use the transfer market to kickstart their season.
Madrid failed to sign a natural replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer despite expressing an interest in the likes of Eden Hazard, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
The aforementioned trio remain in Madrid’s thoughts but Santiago Solari’s side are reportedly now keen on a shock move for Rashford.
The 21-year-old has emerged as one of the brightest young forwards in English football over the last few years and was even awarded United’s No.10 shirt in the summer.
Many have criticised the way Jose Mourinho has handled Rashford’s career over the last three seasons and now the Red Devils may have to brace themselves for interest from Madrid.
After turning 33 at the start of September, Madrid are also on the market for Luka Modric’s long-term successor.
Madrid signed Modric from Tottenham in 2012 and are now ready to return to the north London outfit for his replacement.
Eriksen, who has been linked with Barcelona in the past, has entered the final 18 months of his existing Tottenham deal and Madrid are eyeing a £40m deal.
Since August 2016, only Kevin De Bruyne (34) has provided more Premier League assists than Eriksen (27).
