Chelsea are on the verge of securing the services of Torino defender Davide Zappacosta, reports Sky Italia, via Football Italia.
The reigning Premier League champions have reportedly agreed a €25m (£23m) fee with Torino and are expected to get a deal over the line before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
Antonio Conte has demanded more signings from the Chelsea board on deadline day and are now close to finding competition for Victor Moses at right wing back.
Zappacosta has become an Italy international since joining Torino from Atalanta in 2015 and will become the second Torino player in recent years to join a Premier League giants after Matteo Darmian moved to Manchester United in 2015.
Since January 2016, only Alex Sandro (48) has completed more crosses from open play than Zappacosta (47) of all defenders in Serie A.
