Borussia Dortmund have announced the arrival of Barcelona striker Paco Alcacer on a season-long loan deal.
The Bundesliga giants have spent the summer looking for a new striker after losing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January.
Dortmund signed Michy Batshuayi on loan during the second half of last season and were expected to push for a permanent deal.
However, the Chelsea striker has instead moved to Valencia on loan to leave Dortmund scrambling for alternatives.
Liverpool striker Divock Origi was heavily linked with a move to Dortmund but the Premier League outfit were only interested in letting the striker go permanently.
Dortmund have instead turned their attentions to Alcacer, who has struggled for regular playing time at Barcelona since making the surprise move to Camp Nou in 2016.
"I'm really looking forward to playing in the Bundesliga soon," Alcacer told the club's official website.
"It's one of the best leagues in the world and BVB, with their unbelievable fans and their famous south stand, probably represent something magical for every footballer."
Dortmund have landed the Spanish striker on a season-long loan deal but have the option to sign him on a four-year deal at the end of the campaign.
In two years at Barcelona, Alcacer scored 10 goals in 37 league appearances but never started more than eight games in a single La Liga-campaign for the club.
