Football Association hit Arsenal manager with misconduct charge
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been charged with misconduct following an altercation with the fourth official during their 2-1 win over Burnley on Sunday, the Football Association has announced.
Referee Jonathan Moss dismissed Wenger from the touchline after awarding Burnley with a penalty in the 92nd minute from which Andre Gray equalised.
Wenger is understood to have used abusive language to the fourth official on the touchline before being caught on camera pushing Anthony Taylor in a heated volley on abuse sent towards the matchday official.
Arsenal went onto to score a winner in a dramatic finale in which Wenger watched on from inside the tunnel and the Frenchman was quick to apologise for his actions after the match.

The FA have given the Frenchman until 6pm on Thursday to respond to the charge, in which Wenger is likely to be handed a lengthy ban and fine.
Arsenal’s fourth win in their last five Premier League matches has moved the Gunners up to second in the table and made them Chelsea’s closest challengers.
