Manchester United star to make return from injury in next match

Manchester United are confident Paul Pogba will be fit to return to first-team action straight after the international break, reports The Daily Mirror.

Pogba has missed United’s last 12 matches with a hamstring injury sustained in September and his absence has been sorely missed in midfield.

The 24-year-old was not included in Didier Deschamps’ France squad to allow his recovery during the international break and is due to return to full training with his United teammates next week.

United will be looking to bounce back at home to Newcastle on November 18 after moving eight points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City.

The idea is to have Pogba fully up to speed for United’s hectic festive period that includes matches against Arsenal and Manchester City.

Pogba scored two and registered two assists in four Premier League appearances prior to injury and his return will be a huge boost for United, particularly as Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Romelu Lukaku have gone completely off the boil in recent matches.

In fact, United’s record signing is the highest rated player in the Premier League this season (8.09).
