Lyon forward Nabil Fekir has admitted it is his dream to play for Barcelona amid talks linking him with a move to Arsenal.
Fekir, 22, is currently out injured until after the New Year after suffering a serious knee injury while on international duty with France at the start of September.
The Lyon attacking midfielder is expected to prove his fitness before the European Championships next summer, but he is already looking ahead in his career and has earmarked a move to Barcelona as his dream.
“As I have not played much this season, logically, I should stay for another season at Lyon,” Fekir told L’Equipe.
“Aside from that, if clubs present themselves, we will have to see. In my head, I have a lot of dreams.
“I will not talk about them all immediately. Already. I want to be back on the pitch, to give the best of myself with Lyon, and then join a great club. That is my aim.
“My favourite club is Barcelona. But I need to work a lot, I am aware of that.”
The France international had been in electric form before he was cruelly sidelined through injury. Fekir had scored four goals in as many matches in Ligue 1 at the start of the season, and is still ranked among the top five players across the continent’s finest leagues of those to have started at least 1 league game.
