Liverpool left-back Andrew Robertson is on the verge of signing a new five-year deal that will double his current wages, claims The Daily Mirror.
The 24-year-old still has three years remaining on his existing deal but Liverpool are keen to reward the Scotland captain with new terms that reflect his growing importance at the club.
Robertson joined Liverpool from Hull in 2017 in a deal worth £10m and has since emerged as one of the best full-backs in the Premier League.
Robertson endured a frustrating start to life at Anfield after struggling to usurp Alberto Moreno in the pecking order but is now the club’s undisputed first choice.
Liverpool have tabled Robertson a new five-year deal worth £60,000-a-week and the Scotsman is expected to sign on the dotted line.
Robertson has provided four assists across 14 league and European appearances this season and averages 2.6 tackles per game in that time.
