Napoli close in on Belgium’s highest rated player at Euro 2016
Napoli have made a €6m (£4.6m) bid for Club Brugge defender Thomas Meunier, according to Sportwereld, via Football Italia.
Meunier, 24, put in a hugely impressive display on his Euro 2016 debut when Belgium thrashed Ireland 3-0 on Saturday and he has already attracted interest from Napoli, Inter and Torino.
Napoli, however, are at the front of the queue to sign the right-back having already made a bid for him as they look to bolster their squad this summer after falling short in their title challenge last season.
Meunier set up one of Romelu Lukaku’s two goals in the win over Ireland at the weekend on his way to picking up a hugely impressive WhoScored.com rating (7.98) on debut.
