Real Sociedad have a completed a deal to re-sign Asier Illarramendi from Real Madrid, the club has announced.
Illarramendi has put pen to paper on a six-year deal just two years after leaving his boyhood club for Madrid in a £32m deal.
The 25-year-old has endured two frustrating campaigns at the Santiago Bernabéu where he has been limited to just 25 starts in La Liga.
Illarramendi had been linked with a move to Liverpool and Spurs this summer, but will officially be unveiled as a Sociedad player on Wednesday evening having already completed his medical.
