When De Gea will sign a new Manchester United deal revealed

David De Gea will put pen to paper on a blockbuster £375,000-a-week deal with Manchester United when the Red Devils return from their pre-season tour, claims The Daily Mail.

De Gea has one year left to run on his current £250,000-a-week contract and it has been considered touch-and-go whether he would pledge his long-term future to United for the last 12 months.

Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Real Madrid have all been linked with a move for the Spain international in recent months, though United have made a breakthrough in talks with his camp.

Alexis Sanchez is currently the club’s highest earner on reported wages of £500,000-a-week and De Gea has reportedly been demanding to be aligned with the Chile international.

However, it has now emerged that the 28-year-old will sign a new long-term deal that will make him the best-paid goalkeeper in the world.

United are currently on their pre-season tour of Australia and De Gea is put ink to paper once Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side return to England.

De Gea has endured a testing 12 months for club and country and it was suggested questions marks over his future contributed to a nightmare end to last season.

United finished the 2018/19 campaign with their worst defensive record in a Premier League campaign (54 goals conceded) and De Gea was uncharacteristically error-prone.

In fact, only Asmir Begovic and Bernd Leno (both five) committed more errors leading to an opposition goal than De Gea (four) in the Premier League last season.
