Euro star rules out Premier League switch

Slovakia star Marek Hamsik has ruled out a move to the Premier League and committed his future to Napoli.

Hamsik, 28, has been in electric form for Slovakia at Euro 2016 and turned in a match winning performance against Russia to give them a great chance of progressing to the knock out stages.

The 28-year-old’s performance was so good that it led Slovakia head coach Jan Kozak to suggest Napoli was not at a big enough club to support his talent, which Hamsik has now denied.

“I still have two years of my contract with Napoli and my future is here,” Hamsik told Gazzetta dello Sport, via The Daily Mail.

“There’s the Champions League to play and we want to do great things. The club is improving the right way, aims for bigger and bigger goals.

“As you know, it doesn’t depend only on me, anyway I didn’t think to leave. And I guess also the club didn’t think that.”
