Manchester United star could be banished to reserves
Alexis Sanchez faces the prospect of being forced to train with the Manchester United reserves if he doesn't leave the club this month, reports The Sun.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has lost patience with Sanchez and wants the Chile international out of the club as soon as possible.
Sanchez, who is currently the highest-paid player at Old Trafford, has been a huge flop since signing from Arsenal at the start of 2018.
The 30-year-old has only just returned to training following his exploits at this summer’s Copa America and may have already played his last game for the club.
Solskjaer is so desperate to offload Sanchez that United are willing to pay part of his reported £500,000-a-week wages to loan him out to a European club.
Roma have been linked with a move for Sanchez but it remains to be seen whether the United No.7 wants to return to Italy.
Solskjaer is aware a move to Roma may not appeal to Sanchez but he is prepared to banish the Chilean to the reserves if he resists a move away.
Sanchez is understood to have been involved in a training ground dispute with academy starlet Mason Greenwood earlier this week.
The former Arsenal forward was reportedly left unimpressed by a tackle from Greenwood before exchanging angry words with the teenager.
Sanchez has scored just three goals in 32 Premier League appearances for United and will ultimately go down as one of the club’s worst ever signings.
