Watford head coach Marco Silva is interested in signing Liverpool left back Alberto Moreno this summer and has enquired about his services, reports IBTimes.
Liverpool have already turned down an offer from Napoli for Moreno this summer but Jurgen Klopp’s side won’t stand in his way of leaving if a suitable bid comes in.
The arrival of Hull left-back Andrew Robertson means Moreno would be third choice for this season and Silva is interested in handing the former Sevilla defender a way out of Anfield.
Silva wants to sign another left back to provide competition with 33-year-old Jose Holebas, while Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs is another option for the Hornets.
Liverpool are believed to be looking to recoup all of the £12m they spent to sign Moreno from Sevilla in 2014 and that could prove a huge sticking point for Watford.
Moreno dropped completely out of favour under Klopp last season and was even replaced at left back by James Milner. The 25-year-old was limited to just two starts and 10 further substitute appearances.
