China eye PSG duo

Chinese Super League club Tianjin Songjiang are interested in making sensational bids for Paris Saint-Germain duo Edinson Cavani and Javier Pastore, reports France Football.

Shanghai SIPG are reportedly on the verge of making Chelsea midfielder Oscar the third highest paid player in the world in a deal worth £60m and their league rivals, managed by former World Player of the Year Fabio Cannavaro, want to continue the trend of plucking talent from Europe’s best clubs.

Cavani has been in sensational goalscoring form for PSG this season and Tianjin are reportedly willing to pay €50m (£41.9m) to sign the 29-year-old and offer him annual wages topping €20m (£16.7m).

The Uruguay international is not the only PSG player Cannavaro has his eyes on, with Javier Pastore also taking the interest of the Chinese Super League side. PSG may be more willing to part ways with the Argentine, who has struggled with injuries this season.

Cavani has scored more goals in Europe’s top five leagues than any other player this season (16).
