Paris Saint-Germain sign ex-Manchester United midfielder Herrera
Paris Saint-Germain have announced the arrival of former Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera on a free transfer.
Herrera has put pen to paper on a lucrative five-year deal with PSG keeping him at the club until the summer of 2023.
The former Spain international joins PSG as a free transfer after his United contract expired at the start of the week.
Thomas Tuchel's side have been locked in talks with Herrera since the start of the year and it was announced at the end of last season that the 29-year-old would leave United this summer.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to keep Herrera but the Red Devils didn’t act quickly enough in contract talks.
PSG have moved for the former Spain international after watching Adrien Rabiot join Juventus on a Bosman transfer.
Herrera, who spent the last five years at United, is the second midfield addition PSG have made this week after signing Pablo Sarabia from Sevilla.
Herrera completed more tackles than any other United player in the Premier League (323) during his time at the club and also ranked second for interceptions (227).
