Inter have announced they have completed the transfer of Fiorentina midfielder Matias Vecino on a four-year deal until June 2021.
The 25-year-old completed his medical on Tuesday and has now put pen to paper on a long-term deal after Inter were successful with a €24m (£21.5m) offer.
The Uruguay international is now the second Fiorentina player to join Luciano Spalletti’s side this summer following the arrival of Borja Valero at the start of July.
Vecino established himself as a first-team regular for Fiorentina in the last two campaigns after enduring two loan spells away from the club, but will now form a new-look Inter midfield under Spalletti.
No Inter player has won possession in the midfield third more times than Vecino (328) in the last three Serie A campaigns.
