Diogo Dalot is expected to undergo his Manchester United medical before completing his move from Porto, claims The Daily Mail.
The 19-year-old has emerged as a top transfer target for United this summer after being identified as Antonio Valencia’s long-term replacement.
Valencia has developed into one of the Premier League’s best right-backs in the last two years but turns 33 before the start of next season.
Dalot has a £17.4m release clause in his existing deal and United are currently negotiating with Porto to agree on a transfer fee.
The Portuguese champions have spent the last 12 months trying to agree a new long-term deal with Dalot, in order to increase his release clause.
However, their efforts have proved unsuccessful and now Dalot is expected to complete a move to United by the end of next week.
Dalot has only made seven senior appearances for Porto and made all five of his starts at left-back.
