Lorenzo Insigne’s agent has revealed that Inter are obsessed with the midfielder.
The Italy international’s future at Napoli has been clouded with doubt this month after reported contract talks cooled.
Insigne, 25, has three years left to run on his existing deal and his agent, Antonio Ottaiano, has revealed Inter are ‘in love’ with his client.
“Inter have always shown interest,” he told FCInter1908, via Football Italia.
“The Nerazzurri like him, and not just a little bit. [Sporting director Piero] Ausilio fell in love with him during his Pescara days, but right now I can’t say any more.”
Insigne enjoyed his most prolific campaign to date last season. In fact, Miralem Pjanic (10 goals, 12 assists) was the only other player to hit double figures for goals and assists in Serie A last season (Insigne – 12 goals, 10 assists).
