Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed he would be open to managing England but insists the time is not now.
Gareth Southgate has been placed in interim charge of the England senior team after Sam Allardyce was dismissed earlier this week.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is who the Football Association are determined to land but Pochettino has also revealed he has his eye on the job in the future.
“Yes, why not? In the future. Not now, it’s impossible,” TalkSPORT quote Pochettino as saying. “I signed a new contract here. It’s not my moment.”
Pochettino has been the reason for a number of recent call-ups for England with the likes of Danny Rose, Eric Dier, Kyle Walker, Harry Kane and Dele Alli all cementing themselves in the set-up under his tutelage.
Since joining Tottenham in May 2014 Pochettino has won 51.3% of his matches.
