Forward set to extend deal with Bayern

Manchester United and Chelsea have been served a blow in their pursuit of Thomas Muller with the German forward set to sign a new deal with Bayern Munich, reports Kicker.

Muller, 28, has been strongly linked with moves to both Premier League clubs in recent weeks and United reportedly failed with a world record bid for the forward over the summer.

However, both look set to miss out after Bayern came to a verbal agreement with Muller to extend his stay until 2021.
