Adrian’s West Ham future uncertain

Adrian faces an uncertain future at West Ham as Slaven Bilic has decided he wants to sign a new goalkeeper, reports The Daily Mail.

The 29-year-old was dropped from the team and replaced in goal by Darren Randolph for West Ham’s dramatic 3-2 defeat to Tottenham last weekend after coming in for criticism following West Ham’s poor start to the season.

Adrian’s existing deal is due to expire at the end of next season and he could be set for a spell out of the team if Bilic can bring in a goalkeeper of equal or better ability in the January transfer window, which is unlikely at this time of the season.

However, it is also worth considering Bilic is under immense pressure at the moment and may not even be in charge of the team come the January transfer window, with the West Ham board reportedly already sounding out alternative options if their disastrous form continues.

West Ham are only one place and one point above the bottom three after winning just three of their opening 12 league matches. They travel to Manchester United on Sunday, whom are high on confidence after putting four past Feyenoord on Thursday.

Since the start of last season only two goalkeepers have made more saves in the Premier League than Adrian (136).
