Man Utd rule out Martial departure

Manchester United will not sell Anthony Martial this summer amid interest from Inter, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Martial has been heavily linked with a move to Inter in recent days as a replacement for his former United team-mate Romelu Lukaku.

Inter are also currently fighting to keep hold of Lautaro Martinez following bids from Tottenham and Arsenal.

Former United manager Jose Mourinho was keen to sell Martial to Inter in return for Ivan Perisic a few years ago but the Red Devils blocked his departure.

Martial's place in the side has come underthreat at United following the arrivals of Edinson Cavani and Jadon Sancho in the last 12 months.

The France international had a poor campaign last season and then missed the final two months, as well as Euro 2020, with a knee injury.

Martial only returned to first-team training last week and made his comeback from injury in their 4-0 win over Everton at the weekend.

The 25-year-old only scored four goals in 22 Premier League appearances last season but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still has big plans for the versatile forward.
