Pep Guardiola will look to make David Alaba his first summer signing when he takes over the reins at Manchester City, reports the Daily Star.
The Spaniard reportedly has a blank cheque with which to work with and has been linked with a host of Europe's top players.
Alaba is high on his wish list, with the Austrian establishing himself as one of the finest talents on the continent under Guardiola's management.
And now City could splash the cash to bring the 23-year-old to the Etihad Stadium, with reports suggesting the Citizens could table an opening bid of £40m for Alaba, who still has two years to run on his current Bayern deal.
