Real Madrid have secured the services of Espanyol goalkeeper Kiko Casilla for €6m, according to the Barcelona based club.
Madrid have been on the lookout for a new shotstopper on the back of Iker Casillas' move to FC Porto last week and now the La Liga runners' up appear to have confirmed his successor in Casilla.
David de Gea has been strongly linked with a move to the Bernabeu this summer, but Manchester United held firm on their decision not to cash in on the Spaniard.
In light of that, Madrid have moved for Casilla, with the Spain international now expected to battle it out with Keylor Navas for a number 1 spot for Los Blancos.
Casilla has impressed in between the sticks for Espanyol and has made more saves (209) than any other goalkeeper in the last two La Liga seasons.
