Spanish side in shock move for Arsenal midfielder Wilshere

Real Betis are ready to make another stunning move to sign Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere after failing to prise him away from north London in the summer, reports The Sun.

Wilshere’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the current campaign and Arsene Wenger has already revealed he needs to stay injury free in order to earn a new deal.

The 25-year-old has struggled for game time this season despite making a full recovery from a broken leg at the end of September and he might be forced to leave Arsenal in January to find regular first-team football.

England manager Gareth Southgate left Wilshere out of his latest 25-man squad for games against Germany and Brazil next week and has warned the talented midfielder he needs to play in order to regain his place in the international set-up.

Wilshere is desperate to make the England squad for the 2018 World Cup and now Betis are eyeing a cut-price deal in January when he will only have six months to run on his Arsenal contract.

Betis have made a thoroughly impressive start to the season and are currently only outside the European places in La Liga on goal difference.

For Wilshere, however, he has only played 13 minutes of football in the Premier League this season and is running out of chances to force his way back into Southgate’s England squad, despite impressing in the Europa League.
