Liverpool star poised to leave on a free next summer
According to reports in Italy from Calcio Mercato, Juventus will not be moving for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can in January but will instead look to secure a deal at the end of the season.
The Germany international has just nine months remaining on his current deal at Anfield and has been linked with a move to the Serie A champions for some time.
With no indication of a contract renewal on the horizon it is looking more and more likely that the 24-year-old will leave Liverpool at the end of his current agreement.
It would represent a real blow to the Reds to lose such a key player on a free transfer, though Klopp has already been planning for such an eventuality, with Naby Keita set to arrive in a move that is looking increasingly likely to coincide with Can’s departure.
The former Bayern graduate has been a regular fixture in the Liverpool side since signing for the club from Leverkusen in 2014, starting 77 of 89 league appearances across a number of positions in defene and midfield.
