Stoke City have confirmed the arrival of Dutch midfielder Marco van Ginkel.
The midfielder moves to the Britannia Stadium on a season-long loan from Premier League champions Chelsea.
"Marco is the kind of player we have been looking to bring to the Club. He will bring great energy to the side and is capable of scoring goals from midfield, as he showed during his time with Vitesse," Stoke boss Mark Hughes told the club's official website.
"I'm looking forward to him linking up with the squad in Singapore and getting the chance to work with him on the training ground and see him in action in the Barclays Asia Trophy."
The 22-year-old spent last season on loan with Serie A side Milan, but was restricted to just 17 league appearances due to injury.
Van Ginkel's arrival is supposedly part of a deal that will see Asmir Begovic move the other way to Stamford Bridge.
