Burnley have announced Sean Dyche has put pen to paper on a new four-and-a-half-year deal running until 2022.
Dyche only extended his Burnley contract two years ago but the Clarets have moved to secure his long-term future.
The 46-year-old was heavily linked with Everton’s top job after the Toffees sacked Ronald Koeman in October but he remained loyal to Burnley.
Dyche is approaching his sixth-year at Turf Moor and has guided the club to two promotions to the Premier League during that time.
Burnley are currently flying in eighth in the Premier League and the Clarets have rewarded their manager with new terms.
“I am quite young in management terms. I am still learning and still improving, I believe, so for my personal reasons, as well, I think it’s the right place to be,” Dyche told the club’s official website.
“It’s a very good environment and I enjoy it and I enjoy the connection I’ve had with this area. I think we are still moving forwards as a club and that’s important and also I’m aware of some of the challenges.
“The reality of the club gives me, my staff and the players a good workplace. It’s an honest club, it’s healthy and everyone is on the same page and I have really enjoyed that.
“I look around and it’s hard to find and it’s hard to build. We’ve built it and found it, probably in equal measure, and I enjoy that side of it.
“There’s lots of work to be done, but I’m definitely ‘in’ for the work to be done.”
Burnley have picked up 34 points so far in the Premier League, only six shy of the total they managed in the whole of last season.
Despite their strong league showing, only two Premier League teams have scored fewer goals than the Clarets (19).
