Juventus have confirmed Federico Bernardeschi has finished his medical as his proposed move from Fiorentina nears completion.
The Old Lady have been extremely active in the transfer window and are now set to make their biggest splash in the window with a reported €40m (£35.7m) deal.
Bernardeschi is set to follow in the same footsteps as Roberto Baggio in trading in Fiorentina for Juventus and the move has typically been met with fierce backlash from the Viola supporters.
The Italy international arrived for his Juventus medical on Monday morning and official confirmation is now thought to be imminent after Max Allegri’s side confirmed the medical phase of the transfer had been completed.
The 23-year-old will now become one of the most expensive players in Juventus’ history and is poised to become their fifth new signing of the summer.
In the last two Serie A campaigns only Marek Hamsik (32) has made more inaccurate throughballs than Bernardeschi (23).
