Barcelona target set to sign huge Paris Saint-Germain deal

Marco Verratti is poised to sign a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain that could double his earnings, reports Journal du Dimanche, via Get French Football.

The Italy international was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona at the start of the summer and was thought to be pushing for a transfer to the Spanish giants.

However, the situation has now completely changed after PSG went out and signed Neymar from Barcelona in a deal worth £193m.

Verratti has also changed his agent to Mino Raiola over the summer and is now set to double his current €6m per year deal, which is currently due to expire in 2021.

In the last four Ligue 1 campaigns, Verratti has made more accurate through balls than any other player (39).
