Tottenham sign Arsenal target

Tottenham have announced they have signed Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura, who has penned a deal until 2023.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have completed their first signing of 2018 after agreeing a reported £25m fee with PSG.

Moura was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal and Manchester United this month, but Tottenham were given a free run at his signature after their rivals pursued other targets.

The 25-year-old was transfer listed by PSG at the start of the month after falling out-of-favour with head coach Unai Emery and is the first of many fringe players that will leave the Ligue 1 giants.

PSG are looking to recoup significant funds over the coming transfer windows in a bid to make back some of their investment from the summer following the arrival of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar

As a result, Moura has only managed 72 minutes of playing time in the league this season and will be free to play for Tottenham in the knockout phase of the Champions League after not featuring in the group stage for PSG.

Despite barely playing this season, only Florian Thauvin (277) has completed more dribbles than Moura (264) in Ligue 1 since August 2013.
