Bayern Munich chasing former Real Madrid manager

Bayern Munich have approached Zinedine Zidane about replacing Niko Kovac as their new manager, claims The Sun.

Kovac is under huge pressure to save his Bayern job after making a disasterous start to the season with the Bundesliga giants.

Bayern are seven points adrift of league leaders Borussia Dortmund and languish down in fifth after losing to their rivals last weekend.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with Zidane following Jose Mourinho’s tough start to the campaign but now risk missing out on the Frenchman.

Zidane has been out of work since resigning as Real Madrid manager at the end of last season after leading the Spanish side to three straight European titles.

Bayern have only lost one fewer game in the league after 11 matches this season (3) than they did during the entirety of last season.
