Manchester United face competition from Leicester for Gladbach forward
Leicester are prepared to rival Manchester United in the race to sign Gladbach forward Alassane Plea, reports French publication Le 10 Sport.
Both teams are looking to strengthen in the final third in the off season as they look to revamp their respective frontlines.
Jamie Vardy is the wrong side of 30 for the Foxes, while United have been credited with a big money move for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
And it's now seen the pair linked with a move for Plea, who has impressed for Gladbach on the back of his 2018 arrival from French side Nice.
Plea netted 12 times and provided four assists for the Foals in the his debut campaign for the club and has followed that up with eight goals and seven assists in Germany's top tier this term.
However, it remains to be seen whether Gladbach would be open to selling Plea in the off season as they seek to secure a Champions League spot this term.
The 27-year-old has yielded a WhoScored rating of 7.29 for Gladbach this season, that second only to Marcus Thuram (7.33) in the Bundesliga.
