West Ham and Crystal Palace eye £10m Englishman in Ligue 1
West Ham and Crystal Palace are on red alert as former Sunderland striker Josh Maja wants to return to England from Bordeaux this summer, reports The Sun.
Sunderland cashed in on Maja in January 2019 after the youngster made it clear he would not renew his contract with the Black Cats.
Maja's deal was due to expire six months later and he would have been able to leave Sunderland for nothing.
The 21-year-old, who was born in Lewisham in London, has been eased into life at Bordeaux since his arrival but is now ready to return to England.
Palace and West Ham are interested in the Nigeria international as they both keep one eye on the 2020/21 campaign.
Maja has made 21 league appearances for Bordeaux this season but has only started six times.
The £10M-rated striker has six league goals in that period and notably netted a hat-trick in a 6-0 win over Nimes in December.
