Chelsea identify Manchester United youngster as Kepa replacement
Chelsea are considering a move for Manchester United's Dean Henderson as they look to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga in the summer, reports The Star on Sunday.
Kepa recently lost his spot in the Chelsea XI following a disappointing display in their 2-2 draw with Arsenal, but reclaimed his place in the 2-0 win over Liverpool last week and was named in the side to face Everton on Sunday.
However, head coach Frank Lampard is weighing up his options as he considering bringing in a new goalkeeper, with Henderson supposedly top of his wish list.
The England hopeful has been in excellent form on loan for Sheffield United this season and kept his 10th clean sheet of the campaign in the Blades' 1-0 home win over Norwich on Saturday.
Henderson is unsure where his long-term future lies with the 22-year-old unwilling to play second fiddle as he continues to shine.
The youngster currently has two years left to run on his current deal at Old Trafford and Chelsea will aim to take advantage of any contractual uncertainty.
Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder is hoping to keep Henderson at Bramall Lane for another 12 months having enjoyed another fine campaign in Yorkshire.
